What size are the napkins?
45 x 45 cm after washing, a full dinner napkin. Folded in quarters it sits beside a plate. Unfolded it covers a lap.
What are they made of?
100% linen, washed. The stripes are dyed into the yarn and woven in, not printed. The fibre content is also on the sewn-in label.
Will the colour run?
Wash the set at 40 with similar colours the first time, like any new linen.
Do they need ironing?
No. Linen looks best a little creased. If you like them crisp, iron them while still damp on medium heat.
Will they shrink?
Up to 3% on the first wash, which the size already allows for.
What is the recipe card?
Every set comes with a printed, numbered recipe card from Paolo's Sunday table. Ricetta n. 1 is a brasato for four. The next object brings the next card.
When does it ship?
Orders before 15:00 on a working day leave Eindhoven the same day with PostNL. The Netherlands and Belgium receive it in 1 to 2 days, Germany in 2 to 3. For Sinterklaas order by 2 December, for Christmas by 21 December.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Every set is wrapped in a kraft band. Add a gift note on the product page and it is written by hand. Prices never go in the parcel.
Do you do gifts for teams and clients?
Yes, from 10 sets, with a handwritten note per person and one invoice with VAT. Write to hello@descohome.com.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, washed or not. This includes your legal 14-day right of withdrawal. Refund within 14 days.
Where is it made?
Designed in Eindhoven, sewn in China by a linen workshop chosen after comparing samples. The importer details and batch number are on the label.
Do you ship outside the EU?
Not yet.
