Desco is a small label for the table and the kitchen, from Eindhoven with Italian roots. The name is the old Italian word for the dining table, from the Latin discus. It is where the day ends up.
I am Paolo. I grew up in Turin, where Sunday lunch lasts until evening, and I cook most evenings. For years I planned stock and purchase orders for other people's brands, so I know what a rushed product looks like. Desco is my own answer to that: one object at a time, used at my own table first, stocked properly and shipped the next day.
Every object comes with a numbered recipe card from that table. Object no. 1 is a set of four striped linen napkins, with Ricetta n. 1, my brasato, for the four people who use them. Object no. 2, an apron, follows in spring.
The napkins are designed in Eindhoven and sewn in China by a workshop chosen after comparing samples. I would rather tell you that than dress it up.
